The organisation
NIMO Project Management Institute supports organisations and personnel in the development and professionalization of a project-oriented approach and project & programme management. NIMO is one of the few specialists in this field in the Netherlands. In fact, NIMO is the only player exclusively geared to the development of a project-oriented approach and project management. Specialism is a choice, but it is vital to a thorough command of the ins and outs of this field. NIMO has been doing this with much enthusiasm and pleasure for 25 years: NIMO doesn’t also do project management, we only do project management! NIMO provides expertise in three areas, aimed at people, organisations and projects.
Training and coaching people
A project-oriented approach entails a specific manner of working, and project and programme management is a profession that requires specific knowledge, skills and attitudes. Our wholehearted concern is to help people develop and broaden their competency in this field. We employ various means to achieve this goal:
- Open and in-company training courses
- Courses aimed at certification
PRINCE2® | IPMA | MSP® | PMI - Coaching & guidance
- Competency testing.
Supporting organisations
NIMO supports organisations in defining and controlling their project organisation. In some cases immediate improvement is necessary; in other cases a more long-term development is desired. Whatever the case, custom-made solutions are always required. NIMO supervises:
- Improvement of processes and results
- Implementation of a project-oriented approach
- Steps in professionalization and career track & competency profile updating
- Assessment of current project and business performance
Realising development projects
NIMO's approach is based on the realization that projects do not stand alone and that it is possible to develop hands-on competence by executing projects. We ensure that a project-oriented approach becomes accepted within your organisation and that the project management has a positive effect on others working in and around the project.
Striving for Quality
Our approach can be characterised as striving for quality. We are recognized by CEDEO for instruction and training for our open and our in-company programmes. NIMO is an Accredited Training Organisation for PRINCE2® and MSP®, registered trademarks of the Office of Government Commerce, UK. NIMO is a member of Vetron, the organization for training companies in The Netherlands. We are affiliated to PMI and collaborate closely with IPMA.
